They can be profoundly disturbing for veterans or anyone suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and on top of that, pose additional fire danger in our already arid landscape. They can also cause serious eye injuries, severe burns to hands and faces, and worse. Illegal fireworks such as bottle rockets, cherry bombs, morters, M-80’s and Roman candles, send pets running for cover and exasperate neighbors.

Like most Americans, Loveland residents celebrate the 4th of July with picnics, parties and sometimes, illegal fireworks. However we ask that you watch for/do not impede traffic moving on Eisenhower Blvd. You may also watch from South Shore Parkway along the south shore of Lake Loveland.

Below are maps which show the parks and their booth locations, restrooms/port-o-lets, parking locations, etc. There are three park locations where you may watch the fireworks display. Ĭonstructed and dedicated in 1996 by the Loveland Rotary Club, the City of Loveland, and many local philanthropists, this facility offers exceptional acoustics surrounded by grass seating. For the July 4th festivities, there will be close to 10,000 spectators gathered in this area! EVENT MAPS: Located at the corner of Taft Avenue & 29th Street in northwest Loveland, North Lake Park also offers one of the area’s finest outdoor entertainment venues at the Norma & Lynn Hammond Amphitheater. on July 4th for those early arrivals staking out a spot for the day’s events. Violators will risk receipt of a summons for violating City ordinances against such activities as illegal camping and/or consuming alcoholic beverages in a public park area. On the night of the 3rd, and on the morning of the 4th, police will periodically patrol the park and clear out any illegal campers or parties. Overnight camping is NOT allowed in any City of Loveland Parks or Open Spaces. Special Needs ParkingĢ9th Street from Custer Drive to Taft Avenue will be CLOSED to through traffic on July 4th with designated Handicapped Parking available from Aspen Drive to Taft Avenue (along 29th Street). Traffic inside the park will be limited to event participants and staff only (pass required). Recreational Vehicle Parking will NOT be allowed this year at the Loveland High School parking lot. No other vehicle traffic will be allowed in the park on July 4th. Please DO NOT block driveways or hinder parking for residents.ĭue to the launch area for the fireworks show, the main road into the park will be used by event staff and emergency vehicles ONLY.
